THE BIGHORN CENTER FOR PUBLIC POLICY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The goals of Bighorn Leadership are simple. We ask that Bighorn Fellows make a difference in their community by committing to two objectives:

l       Public Policy Development and Advocacy

l       Public Service as an Individual Leadership Choice

Bighorn Fellows directly participating in the 2006 election cycle

 An integral component of the Bighorn Leadership Development Program is the policy development process. During the course of the six-month program, fellows work in teams to develop a potentially viable public policy proposal. Sometimes these policy proposals are selected by elected officials to introduce as bills in the Colorado General Assembly.  Below are three bills that were developed by the Healthcare Policy group which were submitted to the legislature in the 2006 legislative session. 

Below are some photos taken from our recent Bighorn Leadership Fellow's Reunion.  In March, over 100 Fellows gathered for a panel discussion and a day at the Capitol.
